People Operations Coordinator



Free Association is hiring! We’re seeking a People Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role works cross-functionally, providing support to three key business functions: Employee Experience, Talent, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEI&B).

You will be influential in shaping company culture and creating an environment that fosters creativity and enhances collaboration. 


  • You’ll be instrumental in coordinating and executing end-to-end recruiting activities, including posting jobs, reviewing applications and scheduling interviews
  • You’ll coordinate the onboarding process and set new teammates up for success
  • You’ll help shape and coordinate rituals to influence and enhance our team’s culture
  • You’ll support the planning and execution of initiatives aimed at increasing the diversity of our talent pool and team. 
  • You’ll support special projects and activities that help promote our agency
  • You’ll collaborate closely with our IT consultants to administer company platforms, SaaS tools, and coordinate the resolution of day-to-day technology issues
  • You’ll manage policies and documentation on our company wiki; field ad-hoc team requests, refer to our documentation to help answer basic questions, solve day-to-day issues, and escalate as needed.


  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • Strong interest in providing an exceptional employee and candidate experience 
  • A passion for designing programs that increase team connectivity and collaboration
  • Experience leveraging digital tools and technology to optimize employee onboarding and workspace experience
  • Hands-on experience posting jobs, coordinating interviews and/or using hiring platforms
  • Ability to manage time and support concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills with experience fielding, troubleshooting and escalating a variety of problems
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience supporting a technology-driven team
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems such as Greenhouse 
  • Experience navigating social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram 
  • Experience planning team events and managing related logistics (location selection, travel, lodging, meals, entertainment, etc.)
  • IT coordination, software/hardware management, Google Workplace and Slack administration
